First Stage Of Demolitions Underway At Exhibition Lands
During the week of October 9, 2023, demolition crews mobilized to begin the first phase of structural demolition of the Main Barns at the Exhibition Lands. The work is scheduled to continue through December and is the first step in the necessary removal of buildings and structures on the Exhibition Lands site that are no longer in use.
Demolitions of other structures are expected to continue over the course of the next two years, mainly in the southwestern area of the site, as we continue to prepare the lands for the eventual redevelopment of the site into Edmonton's newest infill neighbourhood.
